The Spiritual Temple

The Heart Transformation & Indwelling

Blessings brothers and sisters,
Now that you are allowing the Holy Spirit to bear witness, I pray that you will have eyes to see and ears to hear.
For in Revelation chapter 3 Jesus (Yeshua) states, 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches”.”
Once we wholeheartedly accept Christ’s invitation, we are ultimately giving Him permission to perform heart surgery on us. As the Great Physician and Healer, He knows that we are in desperate need of a change of heart.
In Jeremiah 17, The Word says,
The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?
10 I, the LORD, search the heart,
I test the mind,
Even to give every man according to his ways,
According to the fruit of his doings”.
This is why it is vital for us to acknowledge our need for Him. We must be willing to accept his invitation because we cannot save ourselves. As we allow the Lord to search our hearts, we will begin to experience a complete transformation of the heart, renewal of the mind and ultimately the revival of our spirits.
This transformation of our hearts and revivals of spirits has been articulated eloquently in the 36th chapter of Ezekiel.
In this chapter the prophet proclaims The Word of the Lord, 25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. 28 Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.

Theses scriptures allow us to understand our need for Jesus our Great Physician and Healer. Therefore, by allowing Him to perform heart surgery in our lives, we will learn how to allow His glory and will to be manifested in our lives.

This week’s Prayer: Psalm 51:10-12

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

Let the Spirit bear Testimony: Receive the Living Water

Greetings brothers and sisters,
Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to bear witness to you, that you are indeed children of El Elyon the Most High God (Romans 8:16 paraphrased)?
Remember, it is the spirit who gives life and the flesh profits nothing (John 6:63). A perfect demonstration of this was when Jesus (Yeshua) was speaking to the Samaritan woman at the well with whom He offered living water. He (Yeshua) told her, “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:24).
As believers we have all been extended a personal invitation by the Messiah (Ha – Mashiach) to receive this living water. In the seventh chapter of John, Jesus (Yeshua) continues this invitation by stating, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John7:37-38).
Brothers and sisters the living water Jesus (Yeshua) offers us is his Holy Spirit, as articulated in verse 39 of John 7. We are to allow the Living Water to transform us because He (the Holy Spirit) bears witness within us to the truth and power of Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha-Mashiach) and who we are in Him. Ephesians 1:17 clearly states, “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him”.
Having the wisdom and revelation of the Messiah (Ha-Mashiach) allows us to overcome this world. In the epistle of 1st John we see a lucid depiction of the certainty of the witness and power of God’s Holy Spirit, John states,
5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? 6 This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one” (1 John 5:5-8).

This week I encourage you to allow the Holy Spirit to bear witness to your inner man (heart, mind and soul). If you have time study John 5:30-47 and 8:12-59, these verses depict Jesus giving account of the Holy Spirit who bears witness in Him. Allow the power and the truth of the living water to flow forth and watch the beauty of God’s testimony shine forth in your life.

This week’s Prayer: 1 Corinthians 1:4-9
4 I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, 5 that you are enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, 6 even as the testimony of Christ is confirmed in you, 7 so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, 8 who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Scripture to Reflect on this week

Hebrews 10:15 But the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,
16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” 17 then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” 18 Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.

Spiritual Confirmation

Greetings to all,
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, (Ephesians 1:3).

I am praying that, 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious (1 Peter 2:2-3).

Remember the words in the eighth chapter of Romans 14 for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

Knowing that we have received our deed of inheritance as believers we must consecrate (to make or declare sacred; set apart or dedicate to the service of a deity, to devote or dedicate, to hallow) our lives unto our Heavenly Father (Adonai).
As a believer and heir of Christ, the apostle Paul states, 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:22-24).

Brothers and sisters I urge you to take heed that you may live a Spirit-filled life. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit authenticates our position in the faith that we may not experience a spiritual deficit of El Shaddai power in our lives.

This Weeks Prayer: Colossians 1:9-14

9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Walk in the Spirit pt.2

This week’s blog will be a continuance of last week’s blog. We will further reflect about what it means to receive and walk in the spirit after we are saved.
For as it is written in the 1st chapter of Acts verse 5, “for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now ”.

As believers it is vital for us to receive and be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Galatians 6:8 states, “For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”
This is because it is the Spirit that gives us life as well as power to live for Christ and overcome this world (John 6:63). He also is the one who searches all things (including man’s heart) and knows the deep things of God, as explained in 1 Corinthians 2:10-12.

This is why Jesus (Yeshua) said, “Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. (John 16:7)”

In correlation He urged his disciples to wait for Pentecost (the outpouring) of His Spirit upon them before they went out to be fishers of men. In Acts 2:15-21 we see the explanation and necessity of this event taking place.

6 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.
21 And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the LORD
Shall be saved.’

Saints call upon the name of Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha-Mashiach) and allow him to pour His Holy Spirit over you. Declare and Believe the words of Luke 11:9-10,13 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened… 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will yourheavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

Paul prayed continually for believers to receive the Holy Spirit throughout his epistles. I stand in agreement with Paul and I pray that you do the same too.

This Weeks Prayer: Ephesians 3:14-21
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen

Walk in the Spirit

To my fellow believers in Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha-Mashiach), now that you have believed on His name (Romans 10:8-13) I petition you to receive his Holy Spirit in all spiritual truth and understanding; that you may grow thereby.

Jesus said in (John 6:63) It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are Spirit, and they are life.

To believe in Christ (Ha-Mashiach) is to walk in the Spirit. In Jesus (Yeshua) we have Salvation, because He is our Messiah (The Anointed One).

As our Messiah Jesus has promised us his Holy Spirit. John 14: 16-18, 26
16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you… 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

However, it is our responsibility to receive each and every one of His promises, including His Holy Spirit.
As explained during the commissioning of his disciples in John 20:21-22
So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

So I urge those of you who have not yet done so to receive the Holy Spirit so you may grow spiritually. When we are born again (Romans 10:8-13) we are born spiritually because we have received the Spirit of Christ. Romans 8:1 says There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. .
Therefore we must take heed to walk in the Spirit, which is life. To receive life spiritually we must learn how to feed our spirit man, for to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (Romans 8:6).

This is why it is paramount for us to feed ourselves spiritually. Spiritual wisdom is necessary for the believer’s growth in Christ Jesus. Spiritual wisdom allows us to understand the nature of God, His redemptive plan for our lives and to have victory over the flesh (our carnal nature).

During this week I exhort you to mediate on the words of 1 Corinthians 2:6- 16
Spiritual Wisdom
6 However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But as it is written:
“ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

May these words minister to your heart so you can be filled abundantly as walk in the Faith.

This Weeks Prayer:
Lord (Adonai) your way is perfect; Your word O Lord is proven; You are shield for all who trust in You (ps.18:30).
Lord it is your will for us who are true worshippers to worship You (Adonai) in spirit and truth; for You are seeking such to worship You (Jn 4:23).
Adonai our prayer is for You to teach us to do Your will, for You are our God, and Your Spirit is good. Lead us in the land of uprightness. (ps. 143:10) For where can we go from your Spirit; where can we flee from your presence (ps. 139:7)?
We are ever grateful that You are He who blots out our transgressions for Your own sake, that you will remember our sins no more (Is 43:25). We too pray for a forgiving Spirit.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from all sin and evil.
With thanksgiving for your Holy Spirit we bless You O Lord. All Your works, in all places of Your dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul! (ps. 103:22)
In the name of Jesus (Yeshua) Amen.
